Would Your Small Business Like to Win £5k?

Of course, the answer to this question is a resounding yes! Who wouldn’t?

As a small business ourselves we’re proud to be championing our friends at smallbusiness.co.uk and the monthly grants they have on offer.

Whether you need snazzy new computers for your team, office furniture from your favourite Scandinavian store, or to cover a few months’ up-front rent in bigger premises, the campaign smallbusiness.co.uk is running with a range of UK partners could be just for you.

How does it work? Well, each month a panel of independent judges choose one business from all the entries to receive the £5k financial grant, and as part of that they’re also featured on the Small Business Grants website as a monthly winner. A little bit of exposure and recognition to boot is never bad!…But then again you’d expect us to say that!

Even better than the five grand, for September entrants only, the six best businesses will be invited to intend to the British Small Business Awards taking place in London this November. We’ve been there once before, last year when we were shortlisted for Micro Business of the Year and it’s a genuinely fantastic night, which celebrates everything we love about small (but perfectly formed) businesses like ours making their way in the world.

So, what would we spend the cash on if we were to win?

In line with some amazing new clients wins we’ve secured in 2017 our focus is all about growth right now. That’s not just growing and developing our current team to meet the demands of our also ever-growing client list, but also investing in the next generation of PR and social rock stars.

If we secured the money we’d spend it on the very area that will help us grow most of all. The area that will help us keep clients. Help us exceed their expectations. And that’s our team.

We’d spend the money on upskilling our team by cross-training them to ensure we all have consistently high skills in each area – PR, social marketing, content, video…and everything else our busy team and clients are prioritising. All of these areas are changing by the week, so keeping our finger on the pulse is absolutely essential.

It’s also money we could invest in an apprentice. We can’t wait to be able to bring in budding No Brainer rock stars to learn the ropes and we’re not far off! If you’re interested in joining us, then we’re always open to receiving CVs and applications (you can give us a shout here).

If you’re not aware already, smallbusiness.co.uk is a fantastic resource whatever stage your business might be at. There’s information and advice whether you’re just considering setting up or whether you’ve been operational for a year, two or more. The guys at smallbusiness.co.uk have been amazing supporters to us over the two and a half years we’ve been going. And now we’re happy to reciprocate.

Go on over and enter your small business here and good luck!
