Having just finished my second year at university, I thought that it was probably time to start thinking about what I want to do with my life post-uni. To me, PR seemed like the perfect option; it combines creativity with intellect, allowing me to merge my interest in writing with other aspects, such as management and research.
After meeting Gary, Lee and the team at their new office launch party, I was offered a three-week internship here at No Brainer.
I have been enjoying my time here massively, thanks to the amazing team, and so I thought it would be interesting to share some of my favourite moments (other than prosecco Fridays!)
For me, I have loved being able to contribute to the entire process of creating different types of content, with blog posts being a great example. To begin with, I would research the topic, learning as much as I could and forming a plan, in order to write the blog itself.
After being approved, it was then time to write the social media posts, with each channel (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram) needing a different style of writing. Finally, I would get to post my completed blog.
It was amazing to see my writing not only published on a company website, but also being featured through four different forms of social media.
I’ve also loved writing press releases! From helping to write the releases themselves to researching the media lists and sending them out to the relevant places, it has been incredible seeing something that I have helped write being distributed to news outlets all around the UK.
